How To Judge The Pros And Cons Of Aluminum Tube Packaging?

Pure aluminum tube packaging is a common packaging in daily life, such as political glue, dental care, pigments, hair dye, cosmetic, skincare products etc. With the implementation of the concept of environmental protection, aluminum tube packaging has become more and more popular among brands. But when purchasing aluminum tube packaging, how can we quickly judge the pros and cons?

Appearance inspection of aluminum tube packaging

The visual inspection of aluminum tubes can be started from the following points:

1. Primer: Generally, the surface of the aluminum tube packaging will be coated with a layer of primer to protect the surface of the tube and avoid bumping or being severely scratched. Moreover, printing product pictures or text after applying the primer can achieve better visual effects.

2. Printing: The current printing technology is very mature, but high-quality printing services must be able to print even the smallest characters beautifully and clearly. Therefore, when inspecting the printing on the appearance of aluminum tubes, pay attention to: Is the printed text clear? Is the color of the pattern correct? Is there any color difference? Are the pictures and texts full and beautiful?

Internal inspection of aluminum tubes

The internal inspection of aluminum tubes can pay attention to these two aspects:

1. The inner wall of the tube: In order to prevent some products from chemically reacting with aluminum materials and deteriorating, the inner wall of the tube is usually sprayed. Of course, not all aluminum tubes need to be sprayed inside, which mainly depends on the the characteristics of the product. But no matter whether there is inner spraying or not, the inner wall of the tube should be flat without dents, and the color should be balanced.

2. Treatment of the tail: In order to achieve a better sealing effect, tail glue will be applied to the inside of the end of the opening of the aluminum tube, which is full and complete. If the tail rubber you see is scattered, it should be placed for a long time or the production process is not perfect. If there is no tube with tail rubber, then check whether the tail opening is neatly cut, whether it is flat, whether it will scratch your hands, etc.

Production technology of aluminum tube

1. Stamping, forming and annealing. The raw material of the aluminum tube is aluminum plate with aluminum purity of 99.7%.

2. Buffering, internal spraying, curing and drying. The inner spraying of the aluminum tube is very particular, and it must be a food-grade epoxy phenolic resin. It is sprayed with food-grade resin, which needs to be cured and dried at high temperature. At the same time, the disinfection effect can be achieved, the microbial biomass can be controlled, and the sterile state can be maintained.

3. Primer printing and primer drying: The primer of the medical aluminum tube adopts saturated polyester resin, which is white or milky white, and needs to be dried after five/six color printing.

4. Cushioning, top cover and tail rubber. The top cover is divided into manual top cover and machine automatic top cover. Aluminum tubes come with closed tubes with spiked plastic caps and open tubes with non-spiked plastic caps. The tail is coated with food-grade environmentally friendly latex.

5. Quality inspection - finished product packaging: After the finished product is covered, a series of finished product inspections are required, including microbial biomass, sterility, and non-positive. Medicated ointment tubes are used as packaging containers for external plaster. External ointment is a standing medicine, with many varieties and a wide range of users. Aluminum grease tubes are produced automatically in large quantities, and all processes from stamping to top cover are automated. The monthly output of an automated production line is one million pieces.

Matters needing attention in the production process of aluminum tubes

1. Production environment: clean and dust-free workshop, the products meet GMP standards.

2. Focus on the toughness index, sealing index, coating flexibility and adhesion of the aluminum ointment tube, and the fit of the tube cap.

3. Establish a professional quality inspection system, equipped with a certain number of quality management and inspection personnel and corresponding equipment.
