The Difference Between Laminated Tubes And Plastic Squeeze Tubes

Plastic tubes are relatively light and easy to carry, strong and durable, recyclable, easy to squeeze, good processing performance and printing adaptability, etc., because of these advantages, plastic tubes are widely used in these area:

1) face cleansing products: face cleanser, etc.
2) skin care products: various eye creams, moisturizers, nutritional creams, face creams and sunscreens, etc.
3)  beauty salon products: shampoo, conditioner, lipstick, etc.
4) And other cosmetic packaging.

There are three types of cosmetic squeeze tubes:

1. PE plastic tubes

Plastic tubes can be made of LDPE(Low-density polyethylene), MDPE(Medium-density polyethylene), HDPE(High-density polyethylene) and EVOH(Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol Polymer). Produced using the extrusion process, plastic tubes are available as either mono-layered or multi-layered .   A “Sleeve” is produced from virgin resin and colorant on an extrusion line.  The tube “Sleeve” diameter and length are determined by the extrusion equipment.  Once the “Sleeve” is produced, the tube head is fitted using an automated heading machine.

PE plastic tubes also have single layer tube, double layers tubes and five layers tubes.
Five layers cosmetic tubes(EVOH tubes/CO-EX tubes) are with EVOH, while single/double layers tubes are without.

2. Laminated cosmetic tube

1) ABL laminated tubes
ABL Tubes combine an economically friendly product with high-quality printing options. PBL Tubes are completely made of plastic and like ABL combine an economically friendly product with high-quality printing options. PBL tubes are easily recycled which not only benefits the environment but clients too. PBL tubes can be used for a large variety of different industries, including, lip gloss tubes and other cosmetic tubes. These tubes provide a stable packaging platform and are extremely versatile. PBL tubes provide unmatched clarity and artwork solutions with the option of 8 different printed colors. The PBL’s structure retains “memory” of plastic which is very unique even compared to ABL tubes. The layer of EVOH protects the product from oxygen and prevents moisture and other debris from making its way into the tubes.

3. Aluminum cosmetic tubes

Aluminum tubes are made with pure aluiminum material.
Aluminum tubes are traditionally used for pharmaceutical and industrial use, as well as for artist paints and have recently seen a resurgence in the cosmetic industry where brands are looking for a retro look.
